The Beautiful RFP Process and the Chaos Left Behind
First, if you’re a brand and you actually think someone who has never met you before is going to deliver a break through campaign on “spec” you need to immediately leave your office and take up fly-fishing as a full time hobby. I can’t think of anything more utterly ridiculous then to ask of such a thing. Your business is completely foreign yet you think some how with enough “specs” you’ll be able to string something coherent together between your marcom depts, stratcom depts, and pre-existing agencies.

Recently the “we have an idea” craze within the industry has been rather unsettling to me.
Why might you ask? Well, simply because it’s bogus speak. It says and means absolutely nothing.
